Point being here that this Roon bonus is not useful to me with these alternatives. I think the bonus that Roon may have is controlling from any device, but, with plex, you can install plex in just about any device that I know of, and control audio on it (TV/Roku/Apple TV/etc). Plexamp on my phone, laptop, and desktop does really everything I need. I already have bought the plex lifetime pass for $120 and I've had it for months because I needed it for the movie section of the software. I use it on a daily basis for music, running it off of a simple unRAID server that I have on 24/7. That is a bit disappointing.but I'm not sure I'm willing to spend $120/yr for it. So with Tidal tracks, I only have their HiFi, but not Master resolution. It will be hard to convince me to spend $120/year on Roon when I have this app.the only real advantage I'd have with Roon is that for some reason Tidal wont play Master (MQA) resolution in any Plex services, but it will in Roon. I'm listening to Miles Davis right now which is stored on my Unraid, with my phone connected to a Chromcast audio device to my 2 channel stereo system and playing it in 192/24 and it sounds fantastic. Its a really nice looking app with a lot of features. With Plex Pass (which I have for movies), the PlexAmp app/service is free. On wifi it plays my personal library with total passthrough, then if I'm on cellular it will transcode the resolution to something appropriate for my connection speed (just like the regular Plex does for movies). Have any of you tried Plex since they have added their new mobile app specifically for music called PlexAmp? I just now installed it on my phone and its pretty sweet! I have both my own library from my Unraid server and my Tidal subscription showing up in it. Let me know if you have some specific questions or thoughts. I'd be happy to help anyway I I have almost that exact setup: The Plex server does need some cpu heft for transcoding, so putting that on the NUC is a good idea. You can run Rasplex on the Raspberrypi with the Allo Boss dacīut I'm not sure if that will work as a Spotify endpoint. I think your DSP might be redundant, and I'd leave that in the drawer. Both suck compared to Roon or Spotify Connect (even this sounds awesome through that Boss DAC!) I haven't been able to cast Plex audio to either. Volumio has an app, Moode has a decent web interface. If you have an Allo Boss DAC, then I assume you also have the Raspberrypi that goes with that? Use that as your network streamer. For the "big stereo," I use Roon and Spotify Connect via the Allo DAC. I never use Plex to cast except on the big TV. RaspberryPi plus Allo Boss DAC, with Volumio

It's all very heavy-handed with everyone getting quasi-religious, the faction heroes about their struggle and the Chosen about their Elder masters. The Chosen kind of feel like they walked straight out of Warcraft, and both they and the new faction heroes talk and act like they're from a Saturday morning cartoon. I couldn't help but feel like the writers rather wished they were doing fantasy instead of sci-fi this time. The writers of this DLC clearly like these characters a lot, as they do a whole lot of trash-talking, either during missions or inbetween, as they mock you long distance. Though you'll be forced to put them down, they'll teleport out and unfortunately don't require the kind of recovery time your wounded soldiers do before they make a reappearance. The game tends to give you ample warning if they might show up on a mission, but get ready to see them a LOT. Since the amount of space in the Avenger is the same, this means you'll have to consider even more carefully where and what to build, and what not.Īside from the factions and the heroes they send your way, there's the titular Chosen - three humanoid alien brawlers who will taunt and harass you through missions. There's also a mandatory building added in the form of the Resistance Ring, to keep track of your Covert Actions with the various factions. There's a slight adjustment to the Buildings, too, with the caring for the wounded no loner being done from the Advanced Warfare Center, but from the new Infirmary, which can also cure their mental issues. Your soldiers, if they spend time in combat together, also have a chance of developing bonds, which provide them with little bonuses and special actions if they're fielded together. All in all, I find it requires you to keep a bigger pool of regulars around than in the base game. Combat actions tucker your soldiers out, requiring you to leave them at base to keep them stable. It's a mechanic that's more likely to pop up if your Soldiers are Tired, which is a new feature similar to the Wounded state. It rather reminded me of the Quirks from Darkest Dungeon. Now, your soldiers have a whole host of traumatic problems they can suffer, which might for instance make them Hunker Down out of caution or attack on sight out of paranoia. Before, soldiers under fire could end up with the 'Shaken' status, which would lower their Will and make them more susceptible to Psi attacks, Panic and other ailments. Speaking of your soldiers, a series of new features get introduced to perhaps get you more attached to them, so as to make it hurt more if you lose them. This last one's an especially strange and unsettling feature, as your soldiers may return wounded, get captured, or trigger special ambush missions where they have to fight their way out. You'll have to work with the factions, in the form of completing special missions for them AND lending them use of your soldiers in order to gain their trust and further advantages. These factions, as you might imagine, introduce three new soldier classes with new abilities to unlock. War of the Chosen introduces three factions separate from XCOM that have been fighting the Advent forces. Still, though, the experience is different enough to be worth it. Having just played through the game twice (once vanilla, and once with the Alien Hunters and Shen's Last Gift DLC), I was initially a bit disappointed to find I was going to have to stop the Avatar Project yet again, because War of the Chosen is, once again, the base game with different DLC content woven through it. When I bought the XCOM 2: War of the Chosen DLC in a bundle, I figured it was a short sequel set after the XCOM 2 story, since it launches separately from the main game. The base model Mac Studio with the M1 Max 10-core CPU/24-core GPU/16-core Neural Engine System on a Chip, 32GB of unified memory, and 512GB of SSD storage is a powerhouse photo editing computer that will handle everything a photographer can throw at it (including some video work) for years to come. Here is the advice for those who don’t need the details and just want to know the sweet spot configuration (best price to performance) for photographers: This guide walks photographers through those choices to help them configure the Mac Studio to meet their needs. Photographers less experienced with what the technical choices tend to upgrade as much as they can possibly bear, often overbuying for their needs. It can also be intimidating for photographers to figure out what they should buy and how they should configure a Mac Studio for their photo editing needs. Options are good to have, and the Mac Studio is an extremely compelling option for photo editing. The Mac Studio is more powerful than the best iMac and even the costly Mac Pro with a price point that should be appealing to most photographers. It isn’t an entirely new concept with the design and form factor resembling a Mac Mini, but different in that it is the first desktop computer Apple has offered that has a compelling combination of power and price. In early February 2022 Apple added a new product to their line of Mac computers. This site is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates and Adorama Affiliate programs. I stopped mid-day and enjoyed a movie with my friends. They recommend you don't study this day but I reviewed my notes from UWORLD and watched videos I still wasn't sure about. I didn't do any more practice questions this day or on test day. Saunders book/ Simplenursing I just used this book and the videos to brush up on any concepts I needed to clear up I was considering moving my test back a week but I am glad I didn't! I took two practice tests the first very likely to pass and the second borderline. I would do the 75qs, take a break, then review it all. Two weeks before my test I was practicing 75 q's at a time. I had questions on my NCLEX that were similar and without doing UWORLD there's no way I would've known the answer. I felt that the knowledge provided in the rationales was very helpful to review concepts that were lacking. My stats are 60% correct with 1248 q's done or 57%. I had uworld since the fall because I struggled with OB but started writing all rationales when I began studying for the nclex in May. Uworld was very helpful!! The layout is the same as the actual NCLEX so that helped with anxiety. If you are short on time I recommend priority and lab values at a minimum. I really liked his test-taking concepts and for my test personally, the priority lecture, lab values, acid bases, maternity, and psych questions were applicable. I probably sat down for a full day or 12 hours to write out notes while listening as well and I tried my best to scan all the notes a few times to go over my weak points. I listened to his lectures passively at work and while driving. Mark Klimex lecture notes and his books. Week one: three-day live review 8 am-4 pm= 21 hours For some of the study time except for the last week going into it, I also had TV on in the background so it could be considered passive studying. I went on vacation and realistically studied what I posted below. I said I would study 20hrs a week LOL that did not happen but it was nice to have a plan on paper. I made a study guide which I poorly followed to review the weakest scores on my final hesi. Patients safety at risk (mark k) then escalate to management when having a conflict between coworkers talk to the person directly unless the look for power words in a question like like is it asking about early or late signs of We went over some test-taking strategies as well. My School made us do a three-day Elsevier review which I did find helpful! They also gave us a book that had some very helpful charts that compared disease processes. My school used HESI as a final indicator of whether you were NCLEX ready, a score greater than 850 is a good predictor if you were to pass the nclex.Ħ/16 NCLEX confirmation email at 5:37 pm got the GOOD POP UP EDIT actually got the hold pop up but was too excited to notice it wasn’t the bad oneĦ/18 2:10 pm Payed for expedited results. The last semester we did two practice full-length HESI comprehensive tests which were 160 questions in 5 hours, my final score was 878. I had some technical issues that day which I think negatively affected my score. At the end of each semester, I just took the HESI without really studying because I was so burnt out but always passed with a grade 850+, except for PEDS. For some background information, I attended an ADN program and was a solid B student. Long time creeper, first time posting! Like many, I was freaking out over the NCLEX so I just wanted to share my personal experience to tell you that YOU CAN DO IT. |
